Thus Far!! I'm sorry it has taken me so long to update. Since my last entry, we have had major computer malfunctions. I'll try to recap you on the events that have led up to now. Since March 23, I've raced four races. Once at Tri-County and three races at East Lincoln Speedway in a dirt IMCA Modified. Tri-County, again, wasn't a great night. Running in the top five for the entire race, ignition problems led to a DNF. Switching gears to the IMCA Modified, I have my hands full! It's quite an experience to go from asphalt to dirt, however I'm learning so much. My first night out I finished 4th. After that, we've had two top tens. Due to changes in Tri-County's rules, I will not be racing there for the rest of the season. See you next week at East Lincoln Speedway, in Stanley, NC! ~Jackie~ |

It feels like forever since I've been in a race car. Boy can I tell you it was an amazing feeling. For the season opener, I raced at Tri-County Motorspeedway in Hudson, North Carolina. Through both practices the car was really loose from the center of the corner out. With a little adjustment we were good to go for the 35 lap feature. Starting in 3rd position, it was a tight race for several laps. I over-corrected the car coming out of turn 2 several laps into the race. As the race went on the car got tighter than expected. It was definitely a hand full right up until the end where 4 of the spark plug wires burnt through. Other than ending the night in flames in the pits, we had an overall, good night of racing.
