Currently Jackie is
running a limited season. Since 2006, she has moved to the
Mooresville, NC area to pursue her path to NASCAR. This season, she
is sporting an IMCA Dirt modified as well as a Dodge Weekly NASCAR Limited
Late Model.
Jackie started racing
quarter midgets at the age of nine: trying her hand at both dirt and
asphalt, she excelled in each. At the age of 11, Jackie drove her Dad's
Sprint car during an all day test session. When Jackie pulled into the
infield to ask if she could go faster, I knew life as we knew it was over.
After practicing all summer in the Sprint car, she drove it in her first
open competition race at the age of 12, in October 2002. Although the race
resulted in a DNF, it was an experience she'll never forget and the start
of her career racing stock cars in a male dominated arena.
In 2003 Jackie started her Rookie season in an open wheeled modified,
enjoying 4 heat wins, a feature win, finishing second in points, receiving
Rookie of the year and voted Most Popular Driver of the DA Modified
Division.
In 2004 Jackie added a Late Model to her roster. Campaigning the modified
on a partial schedule and the Late Model for the full season Jackie had
much to overcome as she was made to start in the rear of the field for 2
months. Rising above and trudging ahead, Jackie finished 6th in points in
the modified and an amazing 9th in points in the Late Model. Although she
was the top finishing Late Model rookie, Jackie was not awarded the Rookie
of the Year title.
Having attended The Wayne Anderson Late Model School and
The FinishLine
Racing School, Jackie is always looking for ways to learn. One of the
first things that impress people about Jackie is her knowledge of the car
and her ability to work on the car herself.
Since moving to North
Carolina in 2006 Jackie has raced Asphalt Late Models, Dirt Modifieds and
micro Sprints.
